Words and photos from my experiences with the Alaska Seafood Marketing Institute's Global Food Aid Program. I'm a young commercial fisherman, proud to see Alaska's wild, sustainably-caught fish feed people around the world.

Today we had the privilege to work with a lovely Liberian cook, who took us to a local market to buy ingredients for our cooking demos with the herring, which will take place tomorrow. We opened a can of herring to try it out too, and she put a little onion in it, a little bit of chicken broth, and passed it around. People loved it!
